A Little Candy

Morning all, hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  I spent yesterday with my SIL at the Sincerely Yours craft show at Biggin Hill.  We had a wonderful day watching demos and buying stash.

Now, for my candy.  Long overdue, for which I really must apologise, but life has been just a little hectic since the beginning of the year.  It was my first anniversary in blogland in January and to celebrate I have a little candy for you.  This candy is for my current followers only as a thank you for all your support and kind comments over the last year (and a ½!!).

The candy consists of:

2 packs of Neenah Super-Smooth white stamping card
2 packs of Prima Miss Godiva flowers
1 pack of Kaisercraft Magnolia Grove Stamps
1 pack of Kaisercraft Lakehouse Stamps
1 pack of Kaisercraft Magnolia Grove Rub-ons
1 pack of Kaisercraft Lakehouse Rub-ons
1 Joy Crafts corner die 6002/0135
1 pack of Prima Fairy Rhymes 6 x 6 paper pad.

There is only one rule for this candy.  Please leave a comment on this post.  That's it.  There is no need to post a picture on your blog, but if you want to that's fine.

I won't be around next week, as we're off on our hols.  So this candy will run for two weeks.  I will pick the winner from the comments on Monday 3 June.

Thank you all for all your support and kind comments since I started blogging.

Big hugs
Caz xxx

Rose Red

Hey everyone, how you doing?  Hope you all had a lovely weekend.  Hubby and I went to Tenterden on Saturday and spent a lovely afternoon wandering around the shops and having a cream tea.  Then yesterday my daughter and I had a lovely pub lunch with my friend Amanda, all in all a wonderful relaxing weekend.

My card today is for my cousin Lorraine, who's birthday is next month.  I've used Saturated Canary's 'Rose Red', she's been coloured with copics.  The paper is from Kaisercraft 'Magnolia Grove'.  I used my new Martha Stewart's 'Crochet Flower' punch around the page.  The flowers are all from Wild Orchid and I used Martha Stewart's branch punch, both of which I've had for an age.  The image was cut out using Spellbinders Oval and Floral Oval dies.

Bubbles Loves Bubbly

Hello all.  Hope you all had a great weekend and enjoying this gorgeous weather.

First of all I'd like to say hello to my newest follower, Jenee.  Thank you for choosing to follow my little blog.

Well, hubby's home from his travels.  I really missed him.  After a whole week of a nice clean and tidy house, I now have laundry everywhere (I certainly didn't miss that!!)

Anyhoo, today's card is a commission for a friend.  She specifically asked that it should be "bubbly" like her friend.  I think I might have taken her request a bit literally, but she loved it.

I've used Stamping Bella's "Bubbles Loves Bubbly".  She's been coloured with copics, a little diamond stickles and some Viva Decor pearl dots.  The papers are from Maja Design Vintage Spring Basics, my absolute favourite at the moment.  The flowers are Prima Miss Godiva (centre) from My Crafty Heart and the two other little flowers are from Wild Orchid.  I used Spellbinders Oval and Floral Oval dies.  The lace and crystal is from Prima 'Say it with Pearls'.

Springtime...

Hello everyone.

Well, it's been a week.  Whilst dismantling my daughter's wardrobes in preparation for her new carpet to be laid, my hubby managed to break them.  So it was a mercy dash to Ikea for new wardrobes and of course we had to get matching bedside and chest of drawers... Arrrrghhhhh!.  He's been very stressed this week, bless!!  But don't feel too sorry for him, he's just gone off on a boy's photography holiday to Sardinia for a week.  YUP!!  Not feeling so sorry for him now are you.

Meanwhile, I'm having a very stressful week.  We are about to switch to new system at work, so everything had to be brought up to date on the old system before we switch on Wednesday.  It's been very busy.  Luckily I'm only working three days this week.  Roll on Wednesday!!

My card today is for my friend Sarah's birthday which is today.  Happy Birthday Sarah.  I've used SaturatedCanary's  Springtime.  She's been coloured with copics.  The papers are Dovecraft's Garden Party.  The flowers are made using Hearfelt Creations 'Vintage Floret' and some Magnolia Berries and some Martha Stewart's Branch punch.  I used Spellbinders Oval and Floral Oval dies.  For whatever reason, I'm not totally thrilled with this card - just not sure about it!!  Sorry, the picture looks a little washed out, the light was rubbish.

I'd like to enter this card I the following challenges:

Birthday Girl

Morning my lovelies

Hope everyone is well and enjoyed the weather this weekend.

Well, the decorating is finally finished, now we just have to go and pick the new carpet!!

I have been a very lucky girl this week.  I was lucky enough to win Squirrel's surprise candy.  It was fabulous, thank you sooooo much Squirrel.  I love everything in it.  So, today's card has been made using some of the bits I got in the candy.

The stamp is Wild Rose Studio's Birthday Girl (from candy), isn't she cute?  She's been coloured with copics.  The papers are Dovecraft Back to Basics III (from candy).  I used a spellbinder edgeability die, Dienamics Fishtail Banner and some lace from Live and Love Crafts.  The "Wish" sentiment is one of many I have in a box that I have no idea where I got.  The little crystal is from my stash.

Lolly and her Brolly

Hello my lovelies.  I hope you all enjoyed the long weekend and haven't eaten too much chocolate.

Well, the decorator arrived to start work on our stairs and bedroom this week.  Oooooh, can't wait for it to all be finished.  My new cooker and dining suite also arrived too.  All very exciting.  My husband did ask if he would be coming home to a lovely home-cooked meal.  I told him it wasn't likely, as I thought of the new cooker as more of an ornament for the kitchen than an actual appliance!!!

Today I have a card I made for my friend Anita's birthday.  I've used Stamping Bella's Lolly and her Brolly.  She's been coloured with copics.  I made the double bow out of some pink seam binding I had and added the beautiful pearl and crystal embellishment which I got from Imagine DIY.  The clouds are a Memory Box die.

Bubbles

**WARNING** - lengthier post than usual!!

Hello my lovely bloggy friends.  How is everyone?  All well I hope.

I can now reveal the reason for my sporadic appearances in blogland over the last couple of months.  The Crafty Snug is no more... Unfortunately, my husband and I outgrew the snug and so have had to swap our rooms around.  The snug is now the lounge and we have moved into the back room which was originally our dining room before it became the lounge and we changed the lounge into the craft room.  Confused?  So was my husband when I revealed my plan.  But it's all worked out beautifully.  Here's a pic of my side of the room.  We are about to buy a new dining table and chairs, which are gorgeous, so I might update the picture when we get them, but this is how it looks right now.

I won't show you my husband's side of the room as it is very untidy and not pretty at all.  In fact, I'm not sure it should be allowed!!

So, hopefully now I can resume my crafting on a more regular basis.

In the midst of the chaos that has been my life for the last couple of months I completely missed my first anniversary in blogland.  I started my little blog in January of 2012 and have had an amazing year.  Making new friends and learning sooo much.  Thank you all for your support over the last year.  I will be putting together a little candy shortly to celebrate, so keep your eyes peeled.

So moving on...

My visit to the hypnotherapist was a colossal failure!!  Unfortunately, I'm still smoking.  But, never give up trying to give up, that's my new motto.

My card today is for my friend's birthday.  I've used the Saturated Canary digi image 'Bubbles'.  She's been coloured with copics and I added some crystal art glitter, glossy accent and little dots of pearl.  The papers are from Prima's 'Divine' paper pad.  The little butterfly is also Prima 'Divine'.  I made the little flowers from the same papers and some core'dination card using Heartfelt Creations 'Vintage Floret' dies.  The lace is from Live & Love Crafts and the little pearly swirls are from Hobby House.
