I've Won an Award - Woohoo!!!

My friend Kelly at nominated me.
Thank you so much Kelly.. xoxo

The LIEBSTER BLOG WARD is used to show appreciation of smaller blogs (under 200 followers) and to help spread readership and joy.

As part of the tradition the award is to be passed along to five other blogs that have motivated and inspired me.  The name comes from the German meaning Dearest or Beloved, but can also mean Favourite.

To accept the Award you must:

1. Link back to the person's blog who gave it to you, and thank them.
2. Post on your blog.
3. Give to five other Bloggers who you appreciate and value.
4. Leave a comment on the five blogs you choose and let them know.

And here are the five people who I think deserve this award:

Claire -

Kim -
Di -
Rosie -
Sandra -

I hope you will accept this award, your work is wonderful and I really enjoy visiting your blogs.

Sugar anyone?

Good evening beautiful people.

Everyone enjoying their weekend?  I'm having a bit of a 'mare.  My boiler's just broken and water is gushing out all over the kitchen.  British Gas are on their way... I really hope they can fix it, especially as we're expecting temperatures down to -12 tonight.  Looks like I'll be getting a couple of sacks of coal in.

Anyhoo, on with the show...

My card this weekend is for my first Sugar Bowl challenge.  I found these stamps at the same time as Lili of the Valley and they are just so fab.  So when I received a surprise cheque in the post this week I rushed over to Funkykits and bought myself five new stamps.  You may have guessed that I'm a bit of a shopaholic.  I'll never be rich, but I'll have plenty of stuff to play with in my craft room, which makes me a very happy girl!!

I hope to enter my card in the following challenges:

1. The Sugar Bowl Challenge - Sketch/Love
2. Pan Pastels Challenge No.5 - Love/Romance
3. Craft Us Crazy - Anything Goes
4. Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes

Treasure Box

Me again.  I also made this this weekend.  I bought one of those little treasure boxes that you can alter and this is what I did with it.

I started by painting it a very pale pink (I mixed white and peony acrylic paint).  After the paint was dry I cut pieces of patterned paper to fit the sides and top and glued on with decopatch glue.  (Sorry, this paper is really old and I have no idea who its by).  I then hot glued some flowers, beads and a Marianne D die cut butterfly to the top (the little butterfly is a Woodware punch).  I finished it off by sticking some lace around the top of the base section.  I'm really pleased with how it turned out.  Now I just have to find something to put in it!!

Bye all.

Baby it's cold outside

... but it's super-snugly in here.

Hello everyone

Hope you're enjoying your weekend.  Enjoying the snow? No, me either.  I'm snug and warm in front of the fire with a large cup of hot chocolate writing up my blog.

I've been having a bit of a play with a few bits and bobs I picked up at the Hobbycrafts show on Friday at Bluewater.  Did you go?  What did you think?.

I also dragged my daughter out bright and early yesterday morning and had a wonder down Rochester high street visiting the charity shops and I picked up a few bead necklaces so that I could have a bash at making some hat pins.  So far, so good.  I'm quite pleased with what I've come up with (need more stuff!!).

I'm going to enter into the following challenges with my card today:
1. Sketch N Stash Challenge No. 80 - Free Choice Sketch (Sketch No. 11)
2. LOTV Challenge No. 5 - Spring Colours.
3. Cupcake Challenge No. 177 - Recycle (recycled beads & tag (price tag from necklace)).
