Crafty Snug Complete

About two years ago I convinced my husband that we didn't really need a dining room and that the space would be much better put to use as a craft space for me and a desk area for him.  He didn't take much convincing.

At long last my crafty snug has been completed.  My super-wonderful husband spent most of the morning building my workstation and here is a picture of my half of the room...

and here's a picture of Piglet making herself at home...

Thanks for stopping by.

Favourite Things...

... what are yours?

My favourite thing is undisturbed time to read or craft.  I don't often get it.

My favourite things used on this card are the LOTV image - I've really fallen for these images in a big way.  I also really love the basic grey papers.

Reactions bit

Hi

Just a very quick post to let you know that I have added a "Reactions" bit to my posts.  I understand that with so many blogs to visit and so little time we don't always have time to leave a comment.  This allows you to just tick a little box letting me know what you think, but it won't even take a split second for you.

I'd very much appreciate it if you would use this as it lets me know I've been visited, and I get a warm fuzzy feeling inside.

Many thanks.

PanPastel Challenge No 2 - Use Two of Something

Helloooo

Before I get down to business, I thought I'd introduce Piglet (not named after the cute Winnie the Pooh character, but rather cos she is one!!).  Here she is checking out what's on the laptop (you can just make out her head on the desk).

Now, moving on - my card for this weeks PanPastels challenge - Use Two of Something

D'ya know, I don't think I ever have, I always put three of something on...

Anyway, here's my card

I went for two little butterflies, which strictly speaking aren't craft embellishments, I dismantled a pair of hair clips.

Ingredients

Flowers: Cream Cherry Blossom - Wild Orchid
(I coloured the lavender ones with a copic and airbrush)
Lace - Oyster Stamps
Spellbinders Nestabilities

Is January over yet???

Is it just me or is January getting longer every year?  It never seems to end.  Not that I'm wishing my life away, but there's a new craft event at the begininning of February (Glow, Bluewater, Kent, 2 - 5 February 2012).  I've got a shopping list as long as my arm (both arms actually).  I know we've just had Christmas and I was thoroughly spoilt, but is there ever an end to the STUFF we want??

Anyway...  I spent half a lovely day at my local crop which meets once a month and I managed to complete these cards.

Ingredients

Papers - much neglected Anne Griffin
Lace - Wild Orchid Crafts
Flowers - handmade Lavender with Flowersoft and glitter
Copic pens
Pearls - my own stash
Ribbon - my own stash
Crystal Art Glitter

I'll be entering this card in this weeks Lili's little Fairies challenge "Lavender & Lace"

This second card I made for Stamping Bella's Bellarific Friday.  The theme this week is a sketch.

Ingredients

Papers: MME Lost & Found 2 Blush
Ribbon: My own stash (I think I nicked it off of a birthday cake)

That's it from me for now.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thanks for stopping by.

Bellarific Friday

Here I am again, this time with a card I've made for this weeks Bellerific Friday over at Stamping Bella.

I discovered Stamping Bella about two years ago and it was while I was searching for these stamps that I discovered Copic pens too.  Bella's Ketto stamps had been featured in a magazine article and I fell in love.  Once I found the website and started looking at all the other stamps I was hooked.  I met the Bella (Emily) when she came over to the UK to the Craft Barn's Summer Extravaganza in 2009 (30th June & 1st July this year), the Extravaganza is well worth a visit if you can get there.

Anyway, back to the card.  This weeks challenge was to choose your favourite Bella.  Well, sorry that's just impossible, they're all fabulous.  I chose Ilovetoshopabella (because that's me).

Ingredients:

Stamp: Ilovetoshopabella from Stamping Bella
Papers: very old from stash
Colouring medium: Copics
Mega Oval Nestabilities
Ribbon from own stash
Tim Holtz DI - Milled Lavender
... and a little bit of glamour dust.

Hurrah!!

I found my blog, yay me!

Let's get down to the business of attempting my next big blogging hurdle.  Attaching a picture to the post... and then linking to another blog.

I've made this card for the Lili's Little Fairies challenge (and also the Pan Pasels "Anything Goes" challenge) this week.  The theme was to use your favourite Lili of the Valley stamp.  I only discovered these stamps last September when I joined a new Crop and the ladies there were talking about them.  Well, after a little investigation I found the website and fell head over heals in love.  Needless to say my Birthday and Christmas lists were re-written to include Lili of the Valley stamps.  But I must say I did have a little trouble picking a "favourite" for this challenge.  I settled on this one, Birthday Balloons.  I really love these little mice.

Ingredients:
Stamp: LOTV Birthday Balloons
Papers: A mixture of Me to You Christmas papers and MME Lost & Found 2 Blush
Ribbon: My own stash
Background: Tumbled Glass Distress Ink
Copics: Pinks - RV19, 17, 13 & 10
Greens: BG34, G00, 000, 0000
Purples: BV01, 00, 000, 0000
Blues: B01, 00, 000, 0000
Mices & Bellows: E44, 43 & 50 / C05, 03, 01 & R20 (rosy cheeks)
Crystal art glitter and glossy accents
Sentiment: Paula Pascual

Hello Blogland

Well, here I am.  Fresh faced and bushy tailed and ready to have a new adventure in Blogland.  Having said that, I'm not very good with this type of thing and this may well be both my first and last entry.  We'll see.  I have no picture to post today as I am being naughty and have created this whilst at work.  Actually, I don't even know quite how I've managed it.  I don't know how to get back into it once I log out - should be fun!!!

Anyway, bye for now.  If you don't hear from me again it's 'cos I couldn't find my way back LOL!!.
