Christmas Angel

Woohoo, the sun's put in appearance this afternoon and the rain has finally stopped.

Titania is putting in another appearance this week sporting a lovely little red number.  I managed to miss Sarn's Rudolph Day on Wednesday, but I've just got time to get this in before it ends on 2nd May and seeing as Di 'dared' me to join in, well you can't walk away from a challenge can you?

I've used Memory Box Mistletoe papers.  The ribbon is from my own stash.  The image has been coloured with Copics and plenty of Crystal Art Glitter.  I cut her out using Spellbinders Labels Seventeen.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid.  The rose started life out as plain ivory, but I really wanted it gold.  After a little routing around I found a really old bottle of rich gold Cosmic Shimmer Mist and a bottle of Tattered Angels Glam glitter paint called Hayride.  After a treatment to both of these the rose looked a little more gold and with a hint of glitter... perfect!  The sentiment is from LOTV Believe in Fairies.

Mirror Mirror

Morning everyone

What a dismal weekend we're having here in North Kent.  It's been non-stop rain and wind.

All this nasty weather does of course mean more crafting time though.  So onto my card today...

I've used my new Pink Paisley London Market papers, beautiful vintage style papers.  I've used LOTV Mirror Mirror, coloured with copics.  White gel pen on the spots and necklace and also a little glossy accent on the necklace.  The background is coloured with Tattered Rose Distress Ink.  The lace and flowers are from Wild Orchid and the hat pin is one of my own.  I've followed the sketch from Papertake Weekly this week.  Ok, getting the shakes now....   there's no glitter on this card ANYWHERE!

I hope to enter this card in the following challenges this week:

Buttons, Bows & Snowflakes

... and still playing with the new stash.  Another new stamp, Sugar Nellie's Titania.  I downloaded the papers from Stamping All Day - Shabby Xmas Blues.  Titania's been coloured with copics and plenty of Crystal Art Glitter.  I've used Martha Stewart's Snowflake punch.  The ribbon is from Adele's candy and the sentiment is from Whimsical Designs 'Snow Much Fun', cut out using X-Cut label tags, I've added some little paper pearl drops and the little buttons are from my stash.  Not much else to say about this card except... it's not quite square!!

Dawny P's Sketch

Hey everyone, me again.  I just don't seem to be able to stop playing with my new stash, despite the housework interrupting.  I'm sure no-one will mind wearing wrinkled clothes this week!! :O)

I started messing around with my new Pink Paisley London Market papers. Boy, were these hard to track down, everywhere seems to be sold out.  I finally found some at www.craftobsessions.co.uk and bought two packs, just to be on the safe side!!  I really liked the sketch over at Simon Says this week so decided to combine it with that challenge and a few others.  I've used another one of the new stamps that I got this week, Sugar Nellie's Best Day Ever.  She's been coloured with copics.  The ribbon is from my own stash.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid and the hat pin is one of my own creations.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

A Little Bit Shabby

Morning all

First of all I'd like to say hello to my new followers and thank you to all my followers for the kind comments you leave, I really appreciate them. I'm now half-way to my first 100, which means I'd better start gathering some candy together!

So, onto my card today.  I was lucky enough to win Adele's candy (Woohoo!).  Thank you so much Adele, it's really lovely.  I've been playing with that and also some other bits and pieces I bought this week.

I bought some new stamps this week.  I've used Kraftin' Kimmie 'Dandy Lion' for this card cut out with a Spellbinders Mega-Scalloped Oval.  My S-I-L absolutely loves dandelions so I bought this stamp to make her birthday card, I have no doubt that this stamp is going to be seeing plenty of ink in the future, I just love her.  I've used papers from Webster's Pages collection combo pack 'Western Romance & All about Me', which was part of the candy I won from Adele.  Seam binding, lace and flowers are from Wild Orchid.  The flowers have had a little Rhinestone stickles added.  I also used some pale blue organza ribbon from Adele's candy.  I coloured the image with copics and added plenty of Crystal Art Glitter.  The sentiment is from Whimsical Designs Everyday Sentiments cut out with X-Cut labels.  The background was coloured with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and I finished it off with one of my hat pins.

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:

Them Pesky Mices

Ooohh!  Get me, with a mid-week post.

I made this card for my friend Anita's birthday.  She's not really a girly girl, so I thought maybe the mice would suit her (she likes cute animals).  I haven't done anything extraordinary with this card, but I really liked how it turned out so thought I'd share it with you.

Ingredients

Stamp: LOTV Cherry on Top
Papers: DCWV The Sweet Stack & Coordinations
Flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts
Hatpins: Handmade by me
Spellbinders Labels Seventeen and Large Rectangle
(not sure what stamp set the sentiment comes from, sorry!)

Thanks for stopping by  xoxo
