Christmas Wishes

Hello everybods.  Hope you've all had a fabulous weekend.

I was pretty much house-bound this weekend while I was getting my windows and front and back doors repaired and painted ready for the winter.  So, I HAD to craft.

Here's what I got up to...

I started off by starting another "Hug" cushion for my friend Kerry.  I pretty much just did that on Saturday.

On Sunday I made this cushion...

I had a go at making these gorgeous shabby flowers....

love 'em!  But my glue gun died, so I only managed three.

Then I started on some Christmas pressies....

I plan on putting gift vouchers in the little Christmas stockings.

Now onto my card this weekend.  With all the other craftiness I've been up to, you can't blame me for keeping my card super simple this week.

As I used scraps of red card to make the poinsettia, I'm off to Pixie's Playground again this week (do love swings and see saws).

Another Christmas Card

Hi all, hope you all had a great weekend.  I had a fantastic day on Sunday.  As mentioned in last weeks post, I won a pair of tickets from Andrea to the Big Stamp Show at Ally Pally.  It was my first time and it was amazing.  My SIL and I met at the train station bright and early and off we went armed with multiple bags of Haribo!

As usual, I spent way too much money, but had an excellent day.  Below is a picture of my stash.  I bought loads and now have to find homes for it all.

I managed to make a card on Saturday.  It's another Christmas card for the stash.  All the berries are from Anna-Marie Designs.  The ribbon and crystals are from my stash.

Hope you like it...

Christmas Card Marathon

Morning all, hope you had a great weekend.  Saturday was a bit of a washout but Sunday was quite pleasant.

Before I show you what I was up to this weekend I have to say a MASSIVE thank you to Andrea of http://artyandrea.blogspot.co.uk/, for the tickets to the Big Stamp Show at Alexandra Palace this coming Sunday.  They arrived safe and sound on Saturday and my SIL and I are very excited to be going.  Thank you sooooo much for your generosity.

I spent the majority of the weekend having a bit of a crafty marathon.  I'm not normally a card kit kind of girl, but when I saw a couple of kits at the Biggin Hill Sincerely Yours show earlier this month I fell in love with some of the images and had to have them.

Here is the result of my little card making marathon on Saturday...

That's certainly put a big dent in the Christmas cards for this year.

All of these cards have been made using Hunkydory card kits.  The cardstock is really lovely and the artwork is gorgeous.  As I said earlier, I'm not really a card kit kind of girl, but I really enjoyed making these.

Right then, better actually get on with some work, that is what they pay me for...!

Hope you all have a fabulous week.  Take care.

Archie & Pals

Hi all, hope you all had a fabulous weekend.

We had a lovely weekend.  We went to Camden Market on Saturday and spent an lovely day wondering around all the stalls.  Yesterday was my big brother's birthday so we popped over there and a had a slice of my SIL's homemade Victoria Sponge, YUM!  But as always, the weekends go way too fast and now here we are again on Monday.

Anyway, onto today's card.  This card features Archie & Pals.  Love this image, sooooo cute!  Now, I'm not sure if this Snowman should be reported to the WWF or whether the penguins are actually enjoying themselves, they look happy enough!!  They've been coloured with copics and I've used plenty of crystal glitter.

Apologies for the picture, I had a camera malfunction and had to take this with my iPad.

A shopping list is at the end of this post.  The ribbon is the 3mm Chiffon ribbon from Jaycotts and the little charm was part of the little freebie pack you get with orders from My Crafty Heart.

Jasper the Snowman

Hi all, hope you had a lovely weekend.

This weekend I went to the Biggin Hill Sincerely Yours craft fair with my SIL.  We spent a lovely few hours browsing and buying.

I've also been having a play.  The other day during a clear-up of my crafty space I came across a whole box of fimo clay and had one of those "light bulb" moments.  I wondered if it would be possible to make little fimo embellishments using my dies.  So after we got back from the craft fair yesterday, it way playtime.  I got out the fimo, picked a die, ran it through the die cutting machine and hey presto, little fimo gingerbread men.  They really are tiny, I used a penny in the picture to give you an idea of just how small they are, but it worked perfectly and the die is completely undamaged.

After a few not so successful attempts we discovered that 130°C for 5 minutes was about right to cook them.

I also made a poinsettia, some butterflies , but because I got carried away and put too many dies with different coloured clays it got a bit messed up!!  WARNING:  When you run the die through the machine it does SQUISH the clay, I recommend rolling your clay as thin as you can and covering your plates with greaseproof or wax paper, both on top and underneath the dies because the machine will squish it much thinner!

The detail in the poinsettia is fantastic.  It seems that any clay actually within the die will come out glossy, any exposed by the die will come out with a matt finish.  I don't know how often I'll use these, but it was certainly fun to have a go.

Anyhoo, onto today's card.  Once again I've used my gorgeous new PATP Snowflake Swirl punches this time on some pale blue glitter card.  The image is Jasper the Snowman.  A full list of items used to make this card (with links) is at the end of this post.
